My Ombre Hair and Forever 21 spree

I was bored and this entire blog is just me being picture crazy. These are all taken with my phone (I’m still on the hunt for a good camera!)

P.S. A few items I got from Forever21…

1. Forever 21 eyeshadow kit. I love this…it is actually really good for about $8. It’s a must-have, I had lost mine and bought another one the same day. I give it 4.5 out of 5 stars.

2. Forever 21 glitter eye kit. This is bad! The glitter doesn’t stay and does nothing for your eyes. I recommend Victoria’s Secret glitter liner.
I give this 1 out of 5 stars.

3. Forever 21 eyelash curler. Honestly, it’s not as bad as you would think and it’s only $2. I normally prefer these kinds of curlers because I feel like they curl easier and they’re so compact and cute for your makeup bag.
4 out of 5 stars.

4. Forever 21 tweezer. Nope, not my thing. It hurts when I use this and it’s so stiff, it doesn’t bend well, making it hard to use.

I recently have been so busy juggling a few things. I’m sorry that I’m always M.I.A.! I’ve been taking a look at different cameras and although I’m learning towards a Canon, I do want something with more features where I can edit the picture onto the actual camera. It’d be nice if it had HD video too.

I’m working on a Youtube channel with one of my girlfriends so it is in the works. I think we are leaning towards makeup and skincare reviews but I will keep you updated

My New Ombre Hair and More Makeup Of Course!

Warning: I currently don’t have a camera so my pictures might not be the best quality

I’m sure you’ve all heard of this new “Ombre” fashion craze. If you haven’t seen it already, you can google pretty much any celebrity out there (Rachel Bilson, Jessica Biel, Sarah Jessica Parker, Lauren Conrad) The list is endless! I’ve always wanted an ombre look but not harsh like Drew Barrymore’s where it’s really dark on top and light on the bottom….

But I wanted a more gradual one. It took a few trial and errors but here’s the result:

I wish for a better camera! UGH! It would look so much better with flash!
But you can kind of see the gradual colors. I love it and I’m hoping to go even blonder but I’m going to masque the hell out of my hair and give it a good spa treatment for all I’ve put it through!!!

…So I went splurging on makeup at Ulta and Sephora again. What else is new?

Here’s all that I got:

Starting from top left:

• 1.  Sephora Perfecting Cover Foundation in Medium Sand – I like it a lot. It’s really good but because it’s $22 which is close to Mac liquid foundation, ($26.50) I would have to say that Mac still takes the cake for its heavy coverage. But the Sephora one is pretty damn good and it comes with a pump. [3.5 out of 5 stars]
• 2.  Sephora Flashy Eyeliner in Deep Black - Love this eyeliner! I usually use automatic liners but this one is super soft and creamy. [4 out of 5 stars]
• 3. Sephora Gel Liner in Must Have – For $10, this is amazing!!! I definitely recommend it. [5 stars]
• 4. E.L.F. Tinted Moisturizer in Beige – I use this more than my primer! It moisturizes the skin, giving you a perfect canvas for your makeup. It gives you a subtle glow and does not leave you oily. For $3, it’s practically free! Go try it! [5 stars]
• 5. NYX Eyeshadow Palette in Velvet Rope - I have yet to try this to go out but I sampled some of the colors on my hand and I love them! I’ve been looking for a beautiful smoky purple palette. I can’t wait to try and show you!

• 6. Sephora Waterproof Mascara and Maybelline Falsies Mascara - I really like both mascaras, however Falsies gives me more volume. Sephora’s is okay, tends to flake a lot though. I give Sephora’s Mascara 2.5/5 and I give Falsies 3.5/5. I still think the best mascara ever was Maybelline Lash Stylist. BRING IT BACK MAYBELLINE! GRRR!
• 7. Sephora Blush in Romantic Rose - I wore this in the pictures below!! Check it out! Gives a beautiful romantic pink glow which does exactly what it says! I feel like going out on a date with this blush! It’s such a beautiful color and I like blending it with a bronzer so I get more of a peachy bronze look rather than a barbie doll look. But whatever floats your boat! I think it’s pretty pigmented and for about  $13, I give it a 4.5/5!
• 8. E.L.F.  Eyebrow Kit - This duo gel/powder kit works great. The colors aren’t too easy to blend if you don’t have the right skin tone and hair, but it works well for $3! [4 out of 5 stars]
• 9. Sephora Perfecting Eye Primer - I was given a sample of this and as soon as I ran out, I COULD NOT LIVE WITHOUT IT! It has definitely changed my perspective on primers. Don’t settle for those cheapie $1-5 drugstore ones, I honestly think this is the best out of all the affordable primers. $14 will last a really long time. Definitely 5 out of 5 stars!!!
• 10. Sephora Daily Makeup Brush Cleaner - Amazing. That’s all I can say! I’ve cleaned my charcoal black brushes until they were white again with just a few spritzes! 5 out of 5 stars!!!

New Fabulous Theme, New Makeup, but No Camera … :(

PART I: My new theme!

Ladies and  Gentlemen,

I have a cute new theme and it’s all thanks to:

Seriously, I could not have asked for a better theme! She worked on it for a couple of months and it’s exactly everything I dreamed of!

So cute!

If you guys want a new theme, go ask her…she’s very patient and will make it exactly how you like it. Plus, she’s just a genuinely nice person and her blog is super cute! *mad jealous* I wish I had the talent and skills she possesses!

So there are a few additions to the site and some are still under construction:

1. I added a Flickr gallery. I have to be honest…It’s going to be kind of hard to update it without a camera though. I’ll explain more about the tragedy later.
2. A new “Ask me” Email box. Every time I receive new questions, I will answer on my blog daily.
3. “Archives.” So you can see the timeline of my articles.
4. “Recent Posts.” Self-explanatory.
5. Facebook! I would love if you could support my site by either following me on Twitter or liking my Facebook page!

PART II: New Makeup

So…I got my makeup stolen two weeks ago. It was bad because I had my favorite, everyday items in there and they were pricey brands like MAC, theBalm, TooFaced, and Victoria’s Secret.
The good part was that most of the makeup was old and worn out, so it was time to get new stuff anyway. I am just so thankful that I pack my brushes separately in its own bag because at $30-40 a brush, I’d much rather lose my makeup than my brushes!!!

So this gave me the opportunity to go out and buy new makeup! YAY!!!

I also grabbed a few things from Sephora and NYX but my camera broke right before and I wasn’t able to snap a shot. Here is a list of everything I bought that is in the picture:

PART III: I NEED A NEW CAMERA!

I’ve been getting so many emails and comments requesting that I put up more pictures. I honestly would love to but the problem is… I aint gotz no camera!

I went to Vegas for my birthday a few weeks ago and I dropped my camera and the lens broke off in pieces!! It’s beyond repair; I can’t even find the missing pieces!
I am on the hunt for a good, affordable camera. I don’t want to just settle for any cheap camera anymore, I want one with really good quality! There has to be one out there that shoots like a pro, but is around $200US!! Let me know if you guys find any good cameras please!!!

Avoid Job Offer Scams!

July 14th was a very interesting day…

At approximately 2:30 A.M.,

I received a call from “Unknown Caller.”

Half asleep, yet half curious, I picked up the phone, assuming it was my boyfriend…but I was very very wrong.

(Note: This conversation is not verbatim. And also note that it was nearly 3 a.m. and I was delirious off my ass from lack of sleep so that’s why I actually talked to him!)

Me: “Hello?”
Creep: “Hi, is this Tiffany? I found your blog and have an amazing job opportunity. I am opening up a magazine in New York and we are looking for people with talent like yours. If things go well, you can start with our big company. I realize it is very late for you but our offices open early here in New York.”
(Oh really? So you open at 5:30 AM? Really now?)

Me: “In NY? I live in California, is the job located in New York only or do you have L.A.-based offices?”
Creep: “It would start from home and you would eventually have to relocate. We would pay for living expenses of course. Don’t worry about it.”
(That’s when I KNEW for a fact this was a sleazy scam! At this point, me and my roommates were cracking up at this clown.)

Creep: “Let’s start with a few of the questions. I realize it’s a bit late but if you could please just complete the interview. If you’re down to do it, we can do it now.”
(Notice his professional diction.  *rolls eyes* Curious, I continued…)

Creep: “What school did you go to? What was your major? What was your G.P.A.?”
Me: “Before we go further, I need to know who this is. What is the name of your company and what is your name?”

Creep: “Capital Group. My name’s Anthony Johnson. We’re a really big company, you can look it up later.”

Me: “It’s a little late. Can we continue this some other time or continue online on another day?”
Creep: “I’m in a little bit of a time crunch so let’s continue…”
(Time crunch? So that’s why you had the time to call me numerous times? Suuure buuudddy….)

*click*

At this point, I decided my beauty sleep was way more important than talking to this buffoon.

I silenced my phone and thank heavens I did because that same day, I had received 5 more missed calls until 5:30 A.M.!

Dude, this loser has so much time on his hands!

He really went all out to scam me, didn’t he?

The moral of the story is, please be careful of job scams! I know in this economy, everyone is eager to find a job as soon as possible, but do your research and always double check. Don’t just give your information to anyone.

What gave this guy away as a complete fraud is apparent for many reasons.

1. He called at freaking 2:30 A.M. from a blocked number! That should say it all. Who does that?!

2. He called numerous times instead of leaving a voicemail like a normal interviewer would. Very unprofessional on his part.

3. His tone of voice and wording were so casual that I felt more prepared than he did! And I was practically asleep!!

4. Also, he wouldn’t even give me a detailed description of himself nor his company. Why would I work for a company I know nothing about?

5. Offering to pay for my living expenses in New York? He doesn’t know anything about me aside from my blog, we haven’t even passed the interview part yet, so why in the hell is he already discussing perks? I’m a total stranger!!!

I wanted to share this with you guys to see if anyone else out there has been abused by Mr. Anthony Johnson (If that’s his real name!)

*sigh* The things people do…and the time people kill… instead of trying to find a decent, normal job like a sane person. I just don’t get it.

If this has happened to you, please blog about it or share it with the world somehow. We need to keep track of these scams so at least people can be aware of how to deal with these scam idiots. (They just don’t deserve to be called scam artists, this is not worthy of that name, nor is it a skill. It’s plain idiocy. Even if it works, they’re making a living of fooling people that is taking so much more time and effort than actually looking for a real job! How stupid is that?! Don’t they feel embarrassed?!)

Well enough of my ranting. I’ll update again soon!

P.S. He called 4 more times again on July 15th at 4 a.m.! Anthony Johnson, I pray for you…yes, yes I pray for you TO GET YOUR ASS KICKED! I think that is the only way you’ll ever learn to not pester people when

Will be back sometime in August!

First of all, thank you to everyone who has emailed me and who has been trying to stay in touch. It makes me feel really special! I actually have a new layout coming soon made by a wonderful blogger and I’m really excited. (I will unveil her once the new layout is done so it’ll be a huge wonderful blog! lol) I think I needed a little pick-me-up to push me into blogging again.

I tend to easily stray away from my blogs and I need to be more focused so a new theme is just what I need.

If you’ve been following my twitter, I will definitely have the newly improved site up and running soon…august is what i’m shooting for. Thanks for waiting if you have been!!!

By the way, I saw Sucker Punch despite many people’s attempts to have me avoid it. I LOVED it! I don’t know if it was the special effects or the intense storyline or even the hot girls dressed up in 50% army, 50% whorish attire but whatever it had, worked. I was drawn in and I really want some kind of sequel. Go see it! It’s a fun ride.
