Improve your life! Here’s how…

Next week, I’m going to a huge wedding of a close friend of mine and I have to look AMAZING to impress everyone since there will be family members and people I haven’t seen in a while. Plus my boyfriend’s relatives are flying in and are eager to meet me.
The only problem is my self esteem. Honestly, this is the crappiest I’ve ever felt. I’ve rarely exercised, I’ve been eating nothing but crap food, I haven’t shopped for dresses and I have just been so lazy to even get up and do my hair & makeup.
Seeing all of my friends looking hotter and hotter each year is just a slap in the face. I need to start changing myself and I need to start now. I really want to just turn my life around and improve drastically. But I can’t be a lazy bitch about it; I need to get off my ass and make it happen!
I’ve created a list of things I want to do more:
1. Work out more
2. Eat healthier snacks
3. Treat myself to nicer things once in a while (facial, nails, etc)
4. Take better care of my hair (haircuts, masques, deep conditioners)
5. Sleep earlier (today doesn’t count!)
6. Go out to the pool more and get a freakin tan
7. Go to more social events (a.k.a. parties of course!)
8. Gain more confidence and learn to feel like a goddess!
I just basically want to pamper myself. I’m always worried about things but I think my new hobby should just be to spoil myself and let loose. It’ll be my secret therapy.
I think everyone should give themselves a pampering moment where they just let loose and do what pleases them. Looking good pleases me and makes me feel good so that’s going to be my little hobby from now on. You’ll see…I’ll do it all!
And you guys should all do this too!
On a random note, I really want to start coloring my hair but I have no clue what to do…I kind of want to go back to my dark roots…

Aww thank you! I think it’s actually just me being lazy. I’ve started working out again and eating a little better. Plus, I’ve been going to the pool more often and getting a slight tan so Im getting there and feeling more confident. You’ll see…I’ll make a big change!
I am all for enhancing self-esteem! I have been overweight almost my whole life, I have acne and huge pores, my hair is frizzy and neither straight or fully wavy….but you know what?! It’s all good! I have learned that life in not so enjoyable when one is unhappy with oneself. I may have all those flaws, but life is great. Good for you for making this great list for yourself. I should make a list of things to improve myself, I’ve been using “adjusting to medical school” as an excuse to be lazy for over 2 months now. That is, when I’m not studying, I’m facebooking, watching TV, eating…aka not working out or journaling. You know, healthy, productive activities.
I love how I feel after a good pampering! its how it makes you feel what counts! ya I’ve pretty lazy myself with studyin. Should get my butt in gear. oh well, jenny you’re absolutely right, its wonderful to live life happy!As far as self esteem goes, dont worry about what they’ll think of you! Because we all know they’ll love you! Here’s what I always say, ‘fuck it, no reason to worry!’
