So…I’m getting a new Macbook Pro for my birthday! YAY!!!

There are a few things I am dedicated to and use religiously:

  1. My Blackberry
  2. My Canon camera
  3. My Target notebook planner
  4. My television
  5. My debit card
  6. My makeup
  7. My ipod touch
  8. And last but not least, MY MACBOOK!!!

Don’t get me wrong, I love PC’s and there will always be a place in my heart for it. In fact, in a perfect world, it’d be ideal for me to have both a PC desktop and a MAC laptop. I have so many memories with PCs. On a PC, I learned how to use Adobe and create designs and websites. On a PC, I learned how to draw on paint. On a PC, I learned how to use Word Documents. On a PC, I learned how to do System Restore when I forgot to save a Word Document.

But all the frustration and anger I had with my PC definitely outweighs the good. I had to deal with spyware, frozen websites, viruses, and a very weak battery life (20 minutes). I just couldn’t deal with it anymore and needed something better than what I had.

Then I was introduced to a MAC and my life literally changed. I stepped into a Best Buy store with my sister and this guy who was bored out of his mind, wanted to show us how to play around with a MAC. He showed us so many interesting unique things like spotlight (where you can find ANYTHING on your computer by typing it in) or force quit (where you can quit any application that is not responding) or even little tools like Expose (showing all the windows that are open on your computer).

There were so many perks with my MAC. I could charge my laptop, bring it to class and sit through the entire lecture without having to recharge. Plus, if I did have to charge my laptop, it was easy to find another Mac user since all the chargers are exactly the same and fit all laptops.

So not only is the battery life on my macbook 5 hours, the laptop’s extremely reliable. No viruses, no freezing, and if I did have a slight problem, I could always force quit.

So in short, I may not be a fan of the iPhone (I’ll get into that another time) and I may not be a fan of the iPad or iTunes but I admit, there a few things from Apple that I absolutely love. (Like their laptops and their ipod touches.) I have never been one to spend so much on electronics but I think it’s worth it.

I will definitely take pics and update on my new macbook once I get it in August. YAY! :) Going to go to sleep now, gnite biatches!!! :-P

I know I promised I wouldn’t give in and buy anymore gadgets…but…

HAVE YOU SEEN THE NEW IPAD COMING OUT? It’s amazing and so cool. I really didn’t want to research it because knowing Apple, they have a way of sucking you in. They’re just so damn good at it.

But my friend couldn’t stop raving about it so I just had to look it up. It looks like a large Iphone or Ipod Touch and is packed with features like Safari, Youtube, Mail, Photo, Video, etc. Kind of all your basic features. It’s purely touch screen but because the screen is bigger than a phone or ipod, it looks very easy to type on. Check it out for yourself on the Apple website. It’s thin, sleek, very handy (about the size of a standard magazine) and best of all, it’s only $500! I actually think that’s a pretty good deal since it has nearly all the standard features a computer or laptop has. I didn’t think I would want something that didn’t have a keyboard (100% touch screen scares me) but it looks so handy that I’m very excited to hear more about it!

I looked it up on the Apple website and the most appealing feature is their new iBooks feature which allows you to download books and read it on the screen with options to adjust the lighting, font, and format while you’re on the page. Every time you turn the page, the page actually turns and you see the animation! I like how all your books are stored on a bookshelf. It makes you more excited to read because of all the vivid colors and animations.

Let me know if you get to snag one!

Sorry I haven’t been on this thing in a long time. I promised myself I would blog more often and I totally will try to! Hmm…so what can I update you about? Well…I’ve been thinking about getting a new phone buuuut….

For the first time ever, I actually have a New Year’s resolution for this year and it’s:

Buying a cell phone ONLY if my current cell phone is damaged.

eek! Maybe I gave myself too much credit…who am I kidding? I’m not that strong!

The reason for this resolution is my excessive obsession with phones. I’ve already spent over $600 in 2 years on 3 cell phones. :( I know it’s unnecessary but I have a guilty pleasure. I love shopping for phones! And the internet doesn’t help one bit…I could spend hours just researching phones online.

My current phone is the Blackberry 8900 and I’m quite happy with it. It’s an amazingly reliable phone and I’ve never had so much fun texting all my girlfriends! The trackball is a dream and makes it easy to navigate everywhere. I’m surprised not all phones have the ball!

I definitely am considering getting a new blackberry or even a touch screen phone. Not sure about the iPhone since I am anti-iPhone!

[BEGIN RANT] Sorry for all you fans out there but I really have nothing against the phone. What I’m frustrated about is the CRAZED PERSON who can’t put the phone down for 2 seconds to talk! And if he or she does talk, it’s about the iPhone!!! Why would I care to hear about the iPhone? I don’t have it so I don’t know WTF you’re talking about?!!! I can’t tell you how many iPhone freaks I know! [END OF RANT]

Whew, sorry had to let that out. heehee
But seriously folks, this iPhone fad has even caused problems in relationships…one of my girlfriends can’t stand the sight of it anymore! I hope I never become obsessed with an object to the point where I ignore my own family, friends, & boyfriend! =/

Well I’m off to bed…oooh and I just bought the Bumble & Bumble Creme De Coco Shampoo & Conditioner & Masque! I’m really excited because I’ve heard so many girls rave about it! If it’s worthy, you know I’ll give you guys a review! ;)

Oh and my Canon is all set up in my room, ready to snap pics! ;) My brother is getting a host for me and I’ll have a very pretty layout up with updated cam pics! YAYYY!

Can I tell you how much I love bargain shopping… but at the same time, how much I hate it? Let me tell you a random story that happened today:

So I’m bored, hanging out with my roommates all day, and I decide to jump online and look for bargain furniture. Not because I need it or anything, but just for fun.

Well I realize it’s been really hard to survive without a t.v. in my bedroom, so I search for some tv deals online. I find an ad for a tv, dvd player, VCR, and a tv stand…all for $40!!!!!! This guy was having a huge moving out sale and wanted to get rid of all his furniture. SCORE!!!

Ok I usually don’t buy furniture at the spur of the moment but COME ON! $40!!! Can’t pass that by. I drove over to the seller’s house with my roommate, Drea. The t.v. was waaay bigger in person than when I saw it online. It was nice and the tv stand even had racks for dvds. So immediately Drea, the nice young seller, and I all grabbed the tv (which weighed a ton) and tried to fit it in my Drea’s hyundai elantra. Next thing you know, it pours down like crazy on us. So I see Drea’s comfy thick blanket and we throw it on top of the tv to prevent it from getting soaked. We’re running around like crazy, trying to fit the damn tv into the backseat. It felt like we were playing tetris, moving things around trying to see what fit where.

Next thing we know, a big gust of wind blows away the tv stand and it rolls away and hits a gutter, causing a few of the dvd holders to slip into the gutter. It was a nightmare!

So then the rain disappeared and we were still struggling with the tv but we let out a breath of relief because the rain had stopped and we were soaked. All of a sudden, the rain decides to come back! Sheesh.

After finally fitting everything in the car, we drove home, laughed the whole thing off, and grabbed some Pinkberry. It was just a really funny sitcom-like experience that I just had to tell everyone. It worked out well because the tv and stand are beautiful. See:

Ok I have the income of a college student ok??!! Whaddaya expect danmmit?

It’s old school but that’s me, a simple gal. Gonna blog again soon and maybe do a fashion roll!

Look at this concept for a Tokyo car. It looks awesome but I don’t know how safe & practical it is for that doggie there. Cute idea though. I would definitely like to have my yorkies with me everywhere except they would jump outta that confined space and probably hop onto my lap to look out the window. So it would be pretty useless for me…
