Sorry I haven’t been on this thing in a long time. I promised myself I would blog more often and I totally will try to! Hmm…so what can I update you about? Well…I’ve been thinking about getting a new phone buuuut….

For the first time ever, I actually have a New Year’s resolution for this year and it’s:

Buying a cell phone ONLY if my current cell phone is damaged.

eek! Maybe I gave myself too much credit…who am I kidding? I’m not that strong!

The reason for this resolution is my excessive obsession with phones. I’ve already spent over $600 in 2 years on 3 cell phones. :( I know it’s unnecessary but I have a guilty pleasure. I love shopping for phones! And the internet doesn’t help one bit…I could spend hours just researching phones online.

My current phone is the Blackberry 8900 and I’m quite happy with it. It’s an amazingly reliable phone and I’ve never had so much fun texting all my girlfriends! The trackball is a dream and makes it easy to navigate everywhere. I’m surprised not all phones have the ball!

I definitely am considering getting a new blackberry or even a touch screen phone. Not sure about the iPhone since I am anti-iPhone!

[BEGIN RANT] Sorry for all you fans out there but I really have nothing against the phone. What I’m frustrated about is the CRAZED PERSON who can’t put the phone down for 2 seconds to talk! And if he or she does talk, it’s about the iPhone!!! Why would I care to hear about the iPhone? I don’t have it so I don’t know WTF you’re talking about?!!! I can’t tell you how many iPhone freaks I know! [END OF RANT]

Whew, sorry had to let that out. heehee
But seriously folks, this iPhone fad has even caused problems in relationships…one of my girlfriends can’t stand the sight of it anymore! I hope I never become obsessed with an object to the point where I ignore my own family, friends, & boyfriend! =/

Well I’m off to bed…oooh and I just bought the Bumble & Bumble Creme De Coco Shampoo & Conditioner & Masque! I’m really excited because I’ve heard so many girls rave about it! If it’s worthy, you know I’ll give you guys a review! ;)

Oh and my Canon is all set up in my room, ready to snap pics! ;) My brother is getting a host for me and I’ll have a very pretty layout up with updated cam pics! YAYYY!

Once in a while I accumulate a list of random useless things I want to buy. (Not to buy all at once, but just some things I’m looking for. I most likely will only ever buy a few things from the list.) Here is my current list of things I’m considering:

- Mac Studio Fix Powder C4
- Mac Studio Fix Concealer NW25
-  wallet
-  black or nude pumps
- skirts and dresses
- knee high black boots
- mid calf black boots
- camel leather boots with heels and/or buckles
- black gladiator sandals
- blackberry phone with a trackpad
- wrist strap for my blackberry
- fabric softener / detergent in one
- off-the-shoulder tops
- vintage-esque rings
- colorful earrings
- cute cardigans
- benefit lipgloss
- OPI nail polish: Mod About You
- good push up bra (preferably red because I don’t have a red one yet)
- cute hair decoration
- running shoes
- spray tan membership
- electronic toothbrush
- diamond stud earrings just for everyday wear
- trendy bracelets

Whew! That’s quite a list! LOL I’m probably going to aim for 2-3 of those items a week. We’ll see what I can do! ;) Ooh P.S. I have my camera set up in my room so I’m all set up for my camgirl-ness! haha I just am still waiting for my hosting to be up soon so I can transfer all my stuff and finally have more space! :) Yayyy more pics are always fun! I can do fashion rolls and shopping sprees more often! I can’t wait!!!! Ok well I should be off to sleep now. ttyl

Yep, yes I did. You heard it here first, I got the Brazilian Blowout!!! I was lucky to be chosen as one of the “models,” for a hair salon so they could test it on me. Sorry, I don’t have a “Before” picture because I was too excited and didn’t even think about it. =/ But I do have a few “After” pictures and you can see the shine and bounce in my hair. Lookie…

So far, I love it. It keeps my hair soft, tangle-free, easy to straighten, and it keeps my bangs in place. My hair was very damaged so during the process, a lot of my split ends broke off so I have quite a bit of baby hair, but I have less frizz overall so it’s not too bad. I love that it cuts my drying time in half. I don’t even have to blow dry it really.

I think this treatment is worth it but unfortunately, I didn’t have enough money to buy the shampoo/conditioner/serum and without the Brazilian Blowout items, your hair’s healthiness will fade. I didn’t believe it but yup, it’s true. My hair isn’t as shiny as it was when I first got it done but it’s still very easy to straighten and a lot healthier than before. :)

If you have no idea what the heck I’m talking about, read my Brazilian Blowout blog here: http://tasteofhunni.com/2010/01/14/brazilian-blowout/

A few people asked me to list all the makeup I use. I don’t have the time to list every single thing I use but I can name some of my favorites off the top of my head.

This list will change constantly because I’m always finding something new that I like. For now, here’s the list of makeup items I’m currently using:

Eyeshadow: Sephora has these little eyeshadow palettes for $15. Love how small they are, fit right into my purse, so I use those. I love MAC palettes where you can pick your own. Toofaced duo eyeshadows are freakin AWESOME.
Eyeliner: Liquid: Almay Liquid Liner is my love. I haven’t found anything better than that other than Mac.
Pencil: Rimmel’s Eye liner but I also LOVE Mac’s. I just think the Mac one is overpriced for a pencil eyeliner.
Mascara: Right now, it’s Ulta Showstopper.
Lipgloss: I’m not a huge fan of lipstick but I love lip glosses. My fave is Mac Viva Glam VI. They also have a good one called Sinnamon which I alternate with.
Powder: MAC Studio Fix. People may say it’s bad for you but ehhh…it covers all my blemishes. Everyday Minerals has really good mineral powders and also, pressed powders. I like Sephora but I wish they packed more powder in it because I go through it in like 2 weeks.
Blush: MAC Gingerly. Victoria’s secret has a really good bronzer that you can use as a blush. It’s called Glitterati.
Bronzer: Toofaced has really good bronzers.

There ya go. Those are some of my faves…but I’m always on the lookout for better products. :)

When facebook first came out, I was ecstatic. Myspace was getting a bit overrated, the spyware floating around myspace was killing me, and I was getting sick of all the spam and ads on the site. I wanted something clean, neat, and simple and Facebook was IDEAL. Not only was there a sleek exterior, but the layout was universal. Everyone had the same page –  there was simply no way around it. Thus, the focus was really on the actual person and not on the design of the page. And trust me, myspace’s themes were getting ridiculously overkill; sometimes even made my computer crash.

Well, now the time has come and I have to admit that even facebook is getting too “commercial” with all their applications and invitations left and right. I’m a little old school in the sense that I stray away from anything remotely complicated. For me, facebook is just too “busy.” So I’ve decided to stop using facebook for a while and will hopefully turn to a newer version of social networking, whatever that may be.

I don’t know if anyone out there feels the same way like I do. I know a ton of people who are still obsessed with facebook. I’m not against it or anything and I love the idea of keeping in touch with your high school friends. But I just need a little break from that mess. I don’t know when I’ll log back on but for now, I’m enjoying just sticking to my good old pal: my blog. :)

Ooh and sorry I’ve been m.i.a. but nothing much has really happened lately. I’m going through a kind of boring phase right now. haha :)

I might do a shopping spree with some hair products I got. We’ll see…

Can I tell you how much I love bargain shopping… but at the same time, how much I hate it? Let me tell you a random story that happened today:

So I’m bored, hanging out with my roommates all day, and I decide to jump online and look for bargain furniture. Not because I need it or anything, but just for fun.

Well I realize it’s been really hard to survive without a t.v. in my bedroom, so I search for some tv deals online. I find an ad for a tv, dvd player, VCR, and a tv stand…all for $40!!!!!! This guy was having a huge moving out sale and wanted to get rid of all his furniture. SCORE!!!

Ok I usually don’t buy furniture at the spur of the moment but COME ON! $40!!! Can’t pass that by. I drove over to the seller’s house with my roommate, Drea. The t.v. was waaay bigger in person than when I saw it online. It was nice and the tv stand even had racks for dvds. So immediately Drea, the nice young seller, and I all grabbed the tv (which weighed a ton) and tried to fit it in my Drea’s hyundai elantra. Next thing you know, it pours down like crazy on us. So I see Drea’s comfy thick blanket and we throw it on top of the tv to prevent it from getting soaked. We’re running around like crazy, trying to fit the damn tv into the backseat. It felt like we were playing tetris, moving things around trying to see what fit where.

Next thing we know, a big gust of wind blows away the tv stand and it rolls away and hits a gutter, causing a few of the dvd holders to slip into the gutter. It was a nightmare!

So then the rain disappeared and we were still struggling with the tv but we let out a breath of relief because the rain had stopped and we were soaked. All of a sudden, the rain decides to come back! Sheesh.

After finally fitting everything in the car, we drove home, laughed the whole thing off, and grabbed some Pinkberry. It was just a really funny sitcom-like experience that I just had to tell everyone. It worked out well because the tv and stand are beautiful. See:

Ok I have the income of a college student ok??!! Whaddaya expect danmmit?

It’s old school but that’s me, a simple gal. Gonna blog again soon and maybe do a fashion roll!

Hey hey hey!

I’m still here…going to really start being busy at work the next few days. But i also want to keep this site as alive as possible which is why i’m blogging a completely random blog today. Nope, no topic here today. Just wanted to update the site.

Basically, I want to change the site and make a drastic change by adding little goodies and widgets all around the site. I’m waiting for my brother to help me with hosting so I can start adding a little spice to this site. Here are some of the things you guys can look forward to in my new revised site:

1. “About Me” -
(Going to add a better, more in depth “About me” page, as well as more pages)
2. TagBoard -
(Adding a tagboard for quick and easy comments and so you all can chat with each other)
3. T.V./Movie Recaps –
(Not sure if I’m going to do movie spoilers but I def. want to add a section of all my favorite t.v. shows where I can summarize the weekly shows and everyone who watches it can discuss it. It’s fun for people who miss an episode and want to keep updated. I’m going to start this with True Blood’s new season and Jersey Shore’s new season too)
4.  Ask Hunni -
(I had this in my old website in 2003 and it was a hit! I had so many random, perverted, twisted, weird, confusing, invasive, and rude questions asked to me on a daily basis. And trust me, I really do answer almost everything! I can’t wait to bring this back!)
5. Therapy Session -
(I’ve always wanted this! I talked with a few other girls and I’m thinking of adding a therapy section for Relationships, Peers, and Love life. I’m going to have 3 advice experts give their thoughts to people who need it most. You’ll have to chance to submit any questions or concerns and you’ll get a fun response immediately! I might join in on the fun and give you my thoughts too!)
6. Cam -
(I’ve always had a cam whenever I had a website but since I don’t have a host right now, it’s kind of hard to find where I can save all my photos and update them frequently, so just wait a little bit and I will have a much updated cam for you in the near future)

So there you have it. These are some of the fun things I’m adding to the site. I’m slowly working on them and will have them up in no particular order. Whatever comes first. I will update tomorrow loves! TTYL! ;)

Nooo, my beloved roommate Drea might be moving out to go to school! I’m so sad. But here a few pictures to remember her  by.

We had nothing better to do, and plus, I wanted you all to see my playboy bunny wall-art!

Me, lying in bed

Meeee again! The bunny is slightly showing..

Me and Drea!

Drea making a face! HAHAHAH (The bunny is in full force)

Sorry again for the crappy picture quality! I’ve been losing my camera usb cable and I really need to upgrade to a laptop that has a built in memory card reader. My comp’s webcam is so blurry! I promise I will have clear pics soon! Or maybe I’ll do more of these random webcam pics cause it kind of looks like I’m video-camming with you all. Very intimate! =)

Okay I want all of your honest opinions: What do you guys think about Asian girls who have colored blonde hair? I’ve seen young Asian girls with natural blonde hair and it’s gorgeous. Personally, I don’t know how I feel about colored blonde hair.

I’m naturally a brunette but back when I was in high school, I ALWAYS had blonde hair. Either golden blonde hair, red hair w/ blonde streaks, skunky black/blonde hair, and even full out blonde hair.

I think certain girls can pull them off. You know, the fake-tanned asian girls with golden skin or the girls who look like they are dressed to go clubbing 24/7…even in a freakin supermarket.
I even think Tila Tequila looked cute as a blonde.

I feel like a lot of people discriminate against Asian girls with blonde hair. They are seen as dumb, classless or even as lame wannabes. Coming from an Asian girl who has had blonde hair for years, I can tell you why I did it:

1) Asian girls are born with black or dark brown hair for the most part. I wanted to stand out from the rest. I’ve always been that kind of person, so I colored it to help myself feel more unique.

2) We are trained in society to believe that blonde girls are more attractive or have more fun. I tried it out and you know what? Maybe it was a sort of hallucination, but I really did feel that I had more fun.

3) It complimented my pale skin tone. My dark hair made my paleness stand out even more.

4) I felt au naturale with lighter hair. I could wear less makeup. Think of Kim Kardashian. She had far more makeup on when she had dark hair. Dark hair just goes so well with smoky eyes, while lighter hair gives you a more glowy, natural, sun-kissed look and you don’t need to pile on so much.

5) I received a lot more attention from people since no one is used to seeing Asian girls with blonde hair. It made me feel attractive and helped me to stand out.

But recently, I’ve moved over to dark hair and you know what I’ve noticed?

- Dark hair makes you look mature, sophisticated and serious.

- Dark hair can make you look sexy and exotic. Girls like Kim Kardashian, Courtney Cox, and Megan Fox make it trendy to have dark, shiny hair.

- Dark hair makes your favorite features pop out more. Can bring the blues out in your eyes, and can also really show your glowing tan if you have one.

- It’s so fun to dress up with colorful accessories and outfits. When I had blonde hair, wearing bright colors like blue and pink made me feel like a barbie or a bimbo sometimes. But with dark hair, pink looked really pretty and even dark hair with black looks fierce!

So it doesn’t matter because I am a firm believer in doing things that make YOU happy. I know it’s hard to ignore what other people think but if you think you look good in your eyes, then do it! People are going to talk either way.

But I know now what I didn’t know in high school: That I can have just as much fun being a brunette and dark hair can be HOT too. Even as pale as I am! Just need a little bronzer and I’m good.

What I wanna know is what you guys think about it! Do you like Asian girls as blondes or do you think they should be banned from blonde hair dye?!

As you ponder on this for a while, I’m gonna go continue watching Austin Powers part 3.  TT4N!!

xoxo Hunni

Okay I admit it…Bad Girl’s Club is a huge guilty pleasure of mine. I just watched a re-run of last season. I absolutely loved the last season and I think all the s**t-talking, drama, arguing, and fighting is not just entertaining, but it really does help me reflect on my own choices in the past and present. It’s funny because my attitude and personal beliefs are opposite from a lot of the girls on the show, yet I can somehow relate to them too.

I definitely grew up in a surrounding where fighting and arguing were prominent. I didn’t live in a bubble where everything was perfect; I actually had someone come up to me and tell me they didn’t like me – even though I had never seen her before!

So in every show, there are always different cliques and categories.

- There are the tough girls who can’t wait for you to give them a reason to hit you
- The tough girls who just talk and don’t do anything
- The bullies who gang up on you for no reason
- The instigators who love watching people fight (makes them feel warm inside)
- The slightly more objective people who try to make sense of things (the middleman)
- The victims who don’t know why they’re being picked on
- The people who seem like doormats but go crazy once they’re messed with

I had to deal with so much drama throughout middle school & high school and if I had to pick which category I fall under, it would definitely be the last one. People really did pick on me since I was a super nice kid, but they could only push me so far.

Well I just watched an episode right now and this show reminds me of all the drama in high school and makes me laugh at how petty girls can be. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve made mistakes too but for the past 4 years, I haven’t had any drama so watching this show brings me back to that time.

If you watched the show, all I have to say is that the scene where all the girls were ganging up on the “Ambers” really pissed me off. Especially when the girls kicked Amber M. in the head while she was down. I can’t believe there are girls who act like that and think it’s okay to gang up on someone for no specific reason. UGH…this show gets me riled up sometimes but I still love it. haha Random blog for you before I go off and watch “The Hills.” I’m such a reality t.v. junkie! LATA!
