So I just came back from Twilight 3: Eclipse and overall, I think it was good; just good, not great.

It was majorly hyped up for me because everyone told me it was better than the first two movies. There were a lot of parts in this movie that I liked (the scene where Jacob had to keep Bella warm, the scene where Jacob got punched, and the fighting scenes) but honestly, I didn’t enjoy the whole lingering on the romance thing. I think they spent way too much time on the romance and the movie lines were very cliche.

I thought they should have showed more action and honestly, were the “newborns” meant to be scary? Because I didn’t feel a damn thing. I think the whole thing was kind of amateur-ish. Maybe I’m being a little harsh and forgetting that the target audience are younger pre-teens and I’m just getting a little too old for this stuff.

I would probably still see the 4th one because I am a fan of the Twilight series (although I need to read the books still!!)

But I was and will always be TEAM EDWARD!!! Especially after this movie…I think Jacob was a tad bit pushy, don’t you think? HAHA!
It annoyed me throughout the movie actually.

But anyhow, I still LOVE Edward to death and if you already read my tweets, during the very beginning when Bella said to Edward she couldn’t marry him, I said out loud to myself, I WILL EDWARD, I WILL! lol

I’m just curious what you all think and whose side you are on! :)

Recently, I’ve been hanging out with a bunch of high-maintenance girls. I mean, I’m pretty high maintenance myself: I constantly shop, I’m on the lookout for new trends, I’m obsessed with makeup & hair products, and I am always in the mood for a mani/pedi! But like everything else, high maintenance comes in many forms.

Let me walk you through the different levels; at least from my perspective.

LEVEL 1 – NO MAINTENANCE

These are the people who don’t feel the need to get ready. Getting ready is either a nuisance or an unnecessary task. They see no point in getting ready for everyday activities like going to school, going to work, etc. They can wake up and literally be dressed and out the door in 10 minutes! Mani and Pedi? That’s uncalled for; it’s so useless to them! The good thing about “no maintenance” people is simplicity. It can sometimes be a huge ordeal to pamper one’s self, so it would be nice to just leave the house without a care about your appearance. Also, some people are really lucky and don’t even need maintenance. The bad side is when they become too comfortable and might even get too lazy to shower or even brush their teeth. (I knew people like this! Yikes!)

LEVEL 2 – LOW MAINTENANCE

Low maintenance people do a little more but they still like to keep things simple. They are minimalists and do as little as they possibly can. They don’t need to go above and beyond; they just need to look decent. This can be a guy who keeps his hair as short as possible to prevent maintenance, or it can be a girl that combs out her tangles in the morning and leave the house without styling her hair or wearing much makeup. This is also nice because a girl can just throw her hair in a bun or ponytail, put on some powder, leave the house in jeans and a tshirt and still rock the casual look. A lot of girls, I’ve noticed, pull off the “low maintenance” look pretty well; especially at the gym!

LEVEL 3 – SEMI HIGH-MAINTENANCE

These are the girls (like me) who constantly check their makeup in the mirror, do their hair, shop for outfits, and of course pamper themselves with pedicures, trips to the spa, tanning, etc. I would usually consider this high-maintenance but the thing that separates this category from high maintenance is that we would only go so far to maintain our looks. It’s not an everyday thing…sometimes you’ll catch us in ripped jeans and a casual tee…except it might be with high heels too! ;) I find this category to be a mixture between casual and “dolled-up.”

LEVEL 4 – HIGH MAINTENANCE QUEENS

I have seen the most high maintenance girls that make me feel like I’m low maintenance! I’ve seen girls that spend time doing their hair everyday or go to a salon to get their hair styled few times a week. These girls are usually willing to shell out money for surgical procedures like breast implants or nose jobs. They would consider botox or hundreds of dollars worth of creams and ointments to keep their skin looking young and refreshed. These are the kinds of girls that you will NEVER catch without makeup, undone hair, or in sweats. And if they are in sweats, it’s probably Juicy Couture or some type of velour sweats. I call these girls the true  high maintenance queens! I always thought I was high maintenance but I am nowhere near it!

Hope this article was useful! =)

Okay I want all of your honest opinions: What do you guys think about Asian girls who have colored blonde hair? I’ve seen young Asian girls with natural blonde hair and it’s gorgeous. Personally, I don’t know how I feel about colored blonde hair.

I’m naturally a brunette but back when I was in high school, I ALWAYS had blonde hair. Either golden blonde hair, red hair w/ blonde streaks, skunky black/blonde hair, and even full out blonde hair.

I think certain girls can pull them off. You know, the fake-tanned asian girls with golden skin or the girls who look like they are dressed to go clubbing 24/7…even in a freakin supermarket.
I even think Tila Tequila looked cute as a blonde.

I feel like a lot of people discriminate against Asian girls with blonde hair. They are seen as dumb, classless or even as lame wannabes. Coming from an Asian girl who has had blonde hair for years, I can tell you why I did it:

1) Asian girls are born with black or dark brown hair for the most part. I wanted to stand out from the rest. I’ve always been that kind of person, so I colored it to help myself feel more unique.

2) We are trained in society to believe that blonde girls are more attractive or have more fun. I tried it out and you know what? Maybe it was a sort of hallucination, but I really did feel that I had more fun.

3) It complimented my pale skin tone. My dark hair made my paleness stand out even more.

4) I felt au naturale with lighter hair. I could wear less makeup. Think of Kim Kardashian. She had far more makeup on when she had dark hair. Dark hair just goes so well with smoky eyes, while lighter hair gives you a more glowy, natural, sun-kissed look and you don’t need to pile on so much.

5) I received a lot more attention from people since no one is used to seeing Asian girls with blonde hair. It made me feel attractive and helped me to stand out.

But recently, I’ve moved over to dark hair and you know what I’ve noticed?

- Dark hair makes you look mature, sophisticated and serious.

- Dark hair can make you look sexy and exotic. Girls like Kim Kardashian, Courtney Cox, and Megan Fox make it trendy to have dark, shiny hair.

- Dark hair makes your favorite features pop out more. Can bring the blues out in your eyes, and can also really show your glowing tan if you have one.

- It’s so fun to dress up with colorful accessories and outfits. When I had blonde hair, wearing bright colors like blue and pink made me feel like a barbie or a bimbo sometimes. But with dark hair, pink looked really pretty and even dark hair with black looks fierce!

So it doesn’t matter because I am a firm believer in doing things that make YOU happy. I know it’s hard to ignore what other people think but if you think you look good in your eyes, then do it! People are going to talk either way.

But I know now what I didn’t know in high school: That I can have just as much fun being a brunette and dark hair can be HOT too. Even as pale as I am! Just need a little bronzer and I’m good.

What I wanna know is what you guys think about it! Do you like Asian girls as blondes or do you think they should be banned from blonde hair dye?!

As you ponder on this for a while, I’m gonna go continue watching Austin Powers part 3.  TT4N!!

After watching the Hills last night, I have to say… I really want Kristin and Brody back together again. I don’t know why everyone’s hating on Kristin…she was my favorite on Laguna beach and now she’s my favorite on the Hills. She’s carefree and happy and she’s not catty like the other girls. I just like that she’s not a hater…she really just lives her life!

And although Jayde Nicole is hot and she’s been on the cover of playboy and all that jazz…she has ONLY that to offer. I really don’t like the girl…she seems really bratty. I’m just saying…Brody seems a lot happier when he’s with Kristin! Jayde is pretty but I can’t stand girls who use their hotness as an excuse to be bitches to other people. Personally, I think the prettiest girls are the ones that are not only pretty on the outside, but are genuinely nice too. That’s something to be jealous of, and honestly that’s the reason why I prefer Kristin. Girls who hate on other girls is really not attractive.

Anyway, enough of my ranting. What do you all think? Are you Team Kristin or Team Jayde?

Hey hope everybody’s thanksgiving was yummy and hope that you did some fun shopping this black friday! :) I didn’t get to because I had to work unfortunately :( But tomorrow is my day off so I’m super excited about that. I’m thinking about pampering myself and doing a full on manicure/waxing/hair color THE WHOLE SHA-BANG tomorrow! I haven’t been pampering myself in a long while. I’ve been trying to save my money but last week my car needed an oil change and a patch-up, and then the week before that I had to buy organizers for my room and pay AAA, and my money just kept going to non-fun stuff so I figure now’s the time to make myself happy. =D

So I’ve just been talking to some of my friends and over and over again I would hear “I need to lose weight” or “I am breaking out all over my face,” or “I feel ugly today.” I know that I personally have always given myself a hard time and today I just want to take the time to give thanks, give thanks that I am healthy, I am living a great happy life, I have people who love me, I have close friends and relatives, and I just am really thankful for my life overall and the paths I’ve taken.

And since we all tend to focus on our negatives, let’s for once, take a look at what we actually DO like about ourselves. So I’m asking everyone to name 3 things you LIKE about your inner self and 3 things you LIKE about your outer self. For inner self, you can be as general as possible like “your spirit,” or “your mindset,” and for your outer self, you can be as specific as “your nose,” or “your teeth.”

For my inner self, I like my:
1. creativity/imagination
2. optimism and happiness
3. good hearted-ness

For my outer self, I like my:
1. my lips
2. my calves
3. my stomach
