To be honest, I really expected a typical “Real World” cast where they purposely choose the Asians that look slightly nerdy and shy. But finally, an edgy Asian-American cast that I’m interested in!

Here is a picture:

I have been searching for weeks for the perfect purse. Sadly, my last few purses were duds, breaking apart or causing a ruckus. (One of my purses had a hidden hole where smaller items would constantly slip into. I actually bought new lipgloss and lipstick, only to find them in the secret hole a week later.)

I have been looking around different stores (Aldo, Nordstrom’s, H&M to name a few) but I’m a really picky purse shopper and I mentally run the purse through intense criteria. I look for certain things and overanalyze:

Like the purse’s handle for example (Is it sturdy? is it short enough to hold on my wrist yet long enough to wear on my shoulders?)

Or maybe the material and texture (Is it easy to clean, does it match most of my outifts?)

And I even look at the shape of the purse (Will it fit all my items without looking puffy? Is the bag already heavy, causing me to store only a few items in it?)

Those are just a few of the things that run through my mind when scoping out places for a purse. I was looking around with my coworkers and today, I found a bag that fit most of my criteria. The only problem? It’s a bit shiny which is out of my comfort zone. I’m used to having low-key purses but I have to admit, the shine really adds dazzle to my overall look. I finally decided to buy it. Lucky me, Macy’s was having a one day sale PLUS I already have a $35 gift card from my brother so instead of $120, I paid about $50! And Tah dah! Here it is:

I got it in black but the second image is in brown since I couldn’t find a better clearer picture:

All I can say is that it looks WAAAAY better in person. I’ve always wanted a box-shaped purse that was cute and a good petite size but at the same time, was big enough to fill everything in my life! I love the purse and I think it really suits my personality.

Yay Shopping spree posts are always fun!

So…I’m getting a new Macbook Pro for my birthday! YAY!!!

There are a few things I am dedicated to and use religiously:

My Blackberry

My Canon camera

My Target notebook planner

My television

My debit card

My makeup

My ipod touch

And last but not least, MY MACBOOK!!!

Don’t get me wrong, I love PC’s and there will always be a place in my heart for it. In fact, in a perfect world, it’d be ideal for me to have both a PC desktop and a MAC laptop. I have so many memories with PCs. On a PC, I learned how to use Adobe and create designs and websites. On a PC, I learned how to draw on paint. On a PC, I learned how to use Word Documents. On a PC, I learned how to do System Restore when I forgot to save a Word Document.

But all the frustration and anger I had with my PC definitely outweighs the good. I had to deal with spyware, frozen websites, viruses, and a very weak battery life (20 minutes). I just couldn’t deal with it anymore and needed something better than what I had.

Then I was introduced to a MAC and my life literally changed. I stepped into a Best Buy store with my sister and this guy who was bored out of his mind, wanted to show us how to play around with a MAC. He showed us so many interesting unique things like spotlight (where you can find ANYTHING on your computer by typing it in) or force quit (where you can quit any application that is not responding) or even little tools like Expose (showing all the windows that are open on your computer).

There were so many perks with my MAC. I could charge my laptop, bring it to class and sit through the entire lecture without having to recharge. Plus, if I did have to charge my laptop, it was easy to find another Mac user since all the chargers are exactly the same and fit all laptops.

So not only is the battery life on my macbook 5 hours, the laptop’s extremely reliable. No viruses, no freezing, and if I did have a slight problem, I could always force quit.

So in short, I may not be a fan of the iPhone (I’ll get into that another time) and I may not be a fan of the iPad or iTunes but I admit, there a few things from Apple that I absolutely love. (Like their laptops and their ipod touches.) I have never been one to spend so much on electronics but I think it’s worth it.

I will definitely take pics and update on my new macbook once I get it in August. YAY! Going to go to sleep now, gnite biatches!!!

xoxo Hunni

So I just came back from Twilight 3: Eclipse and overall, I think it was good; just good, not great.

It was majorly hyped up for me because everyone told me it was better than the first two movies. There were a lot of parts in this movie that I liked (the scene where Jacob had to keep Bella warm, the scene where Jacob got punched, and the fighting scenes) but honestly, I didn’t enjoy the whole lingering on the romance thing. I think they spent way too much time on the romance and the movie lines were very cliche.

I thought they should have showed more action and honestly, were the “newborns” meant to be scary? Because I didn’t feel a damn thing. I think the whole thing was kind of amateur-ish. Maybe I’m being a little harsh and forgetting that the target audience are younger pre-teens and I’m just getting a little too old for this stuff.

I would probably still see the 4th one because I am a fan of the Twilight series (although I need to read the books still!!)

But I was and will always be TEAM EDWARD!!! Especially after this movie…I think Jacob was a tad bit pushy, don’t you think? HAHA!
It annoyed me throughout the movie actually.

But anyhow, I still LOVE Edward to death and if you already read my tweets, during the very beginning when Bella said to Edward she couldn’t marry him, I said out loud to myself, I WILL EDWARD, I WILL! lol

I’m just curious what you all think and whose side you are on!

Yes, it’s time for another “Oh HELL no” moment. Don’t you just love these?

So I was talking to some of my girlfriends about this particular topic and I’ve seen it written on many other bloggers’ sites too. Why is it that people care so much about what you do and how you live your life? Why does it affect them so deeply?

And I know there’s an obvious answer to this question: People love to gossip and they thrive off of other people’s personal business.

I mean, I know why people like to talk about other people. It’s human nature and it creates bonds. Plus, we have mouths, what else are they for? But what I don’t get is why people seem to live off people’s lives.

If you don’t know what I mean, here is the main difference.

EXAMPLE 1. Kristy told Sally she just hooked up with one of their guy friends. Sally goes off and tells all her closest friends.
ANALYSIS: Yes Sally is a gossip freak. And yes, Sally is a little brat for sharing her friend’s personal info. But Sally isn’t really doing anything out of the ordinary. She just learned something new and is excited to share with the rest of her friends. People do this everyday and as much as you are hating on Sally right now, you have to admit you’ve done it too.

EXAMPLE 2: Kristy told Sally she just hooked up with one of their guy friends, Sam. Sally goes and tells her closest friends that Kristy is acting slutty and that Sam is not even cute so Kristy must be desperate to get someone like him. She continues…they’re not even compatible because Sam is into rock music and Kristy hates that. Why is she going for a rocker now anyway? To improve her reputation? For sure, they’re not going to last.
ANALYSIS: So clearly, there is a huge difference. In this case, Sally is really taking it up a notch and adding all of her biased opinions. This is not only going to stir up rumors and gossip, but it’s really bad for a friend to do that anyway. She doesn’t understand the relationship fully, yet she seems to have a lot to say about it. What bothers me is…why does she care so much? She’s not her!!!

My point for these examples is that there is a fine line between gossiping and hating. I feel like some girls go through this and some don’t. There are some girls that live life without anyone really noticing them or having anything negative to say to them because they’re so neutral. Then there are some people who people just LOVE to talk about because they have an interesting factor to them.

I think it’s perfectly dandy if particular people are never gossiped about, good for them. But that does mean that the person’s life is a tad boring, you have to admit! LOL

I mean everyone has opinions and it’s human nature. But when people start to really meddle with your life and affect you, then there’s a difference. Especially from your friends. True friends will accept you no matter what.

I have a close girlfriend who have had breast implants and I have nothing negative to say about that. If you’re not satisfied with your body and need something to make you happy, then why not? I’m all for it! I may not support plastic surgery for my personal self (since I’m too chicken) but I think it’s great that you’re making a change to improving your self-esteem and personality. But you know what’s going to happen after implants right? Everyone’s gonna talk. I can’t believe how many people talked crap about my friends and I’m like…why are they freaking out? It’s not your body, the person made a conscious decision about her implants and what’s it to you? Plus, they were her own freaking friends!!!

I honestly think people who do nothing but judge have major insecure issues. Actually, the most judgmental people are usually the most insecure. What makes them have to nitpick everyone else? To make themselves feel a tad bit better? What makes them a great person after that? They don’t change…they’re still their ugly selves. (And by ugly, I mean personality-wise! Don’t ever call people physically ugly!!!)

I just don’t get why people are so damn judgmental these days! Sheesh! >:O
A friend told me she was getting a lecture from her best friend for spending too much on shopping! If it makes her happy and she’s not in debt from it, what’s the problem? IT’S HER MONEY!!!!! Just ’cause the best friend can’t spend the money, why can’t she let her friend do so?!!! Geez, people these days have nothing better to talk about.

Look at yourselves people!!!

Well, I’m gonna go to bed now…hope you enjoyed my rant. Had to cut it short ’cause I’m getting a little sleepy. Will blog again soon! <333

xoxo Hunni

Me and my friend went to go see the A-team but after 5 minutes, we had to leave. I have never left a movie without giving it at least 10-15 minutes minimum. But the cheesy A-team soundtrack and the predictable scenes were enough for us. Maybe it was the mood I was in or maybe I’m just easily bored as a result of watching zillions of movies.

Nevertheless, It was 10:30 PM and we needed something lively to keep us from falling asleep.

We decided on Get Him To The Greek since it was playing at a convenient time. It wasn’t something I was dying to see but I was a little curious since it was sort of a spin-off from Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

It is AMAZINGLY HILARIOUS! I absolutely loved it.

It was so funny from beginning to end. Me and Carlo had to hold back our laughter from embarrassing ourselves. There were people near us cackling so hard that people were laughing at them! I definitely recommend the movie to everyone. P Diddy even did a good job acting… I never knew!

So that was part one of my weekend.

And the next day, did some major shopping! Bought a bunch of cute $5 skirts at H&M and a cute purple casual cotton dress from Charlotte Russe. Then I got some cute leggings at Wet Seal too. Then went to a small boutique (BIG MISTAKE) and picked up a gray off-the-shoulder dress, a black & gold skirt, and 2 colorful tops. Yup, kind of went on a huge unintentional shopping spree. LOL

Will take pics when I have some time. Just relaxing, enjoying some time off.

Sorry my blog’s been dead. I will update again with some more interesting info!

Because I use hair products constantly (hair spray, moroccan oil, leave in conditioners, etc.,) I realized that every other day, my unwashed hair gets on my nerves. I used to be okay with it back in high school washing it every other day but now I try to wash my hair 5 out of 7 days of the week. It gets tiresome sometimes and I also put a lot of stress on my hair since I have to style my hair more often.

Then I noticed the increasingly popular idea of a “dry shampoo.” I noticed it a long time ago on Sephora’s website and it always stayed in the back of my mind. It was an interesting concept but I didn’t really believe it and I didn’t understand how it worked. Well I’ve tried a few but there is one that I really like. It’s the Victoria’s Secret Dry Shampoo.

Victoria’s Secret Dry Shampoo: 8/10 Stars

It sprays out in aerosol form and it almost feels like water coming out but the water dries instantly and you’re left with more refreshed hair. I didn’t think it worked but there was a tester to try it out. I was with my cousin and we both noticed a difference. The best part is that I actually felt a difference. I felt better about my hair and wasn’t paranoid about my hair looking oily or greasy. And I love the smell of it…Victoria’s Secret is usually good about that.

I picked it up for about $14 and I absolutely love it. I used to think it was a waste but it actually works and is a must-have for travel or for those times your hair needs a little pick me up! It’s my dirty little secret!!

Back when I was in high school, I was labeled “conceited,” a “bitch,” or even a “whore,” even though people didn’t really know me. (How could I be a whore when I didn’t really have any boyfriends? Go figure.) Being young and naive, my reputation was my life and I didn’t think there was anything worse than having a bad rep. I tried so hard to be nauseatingly sweet to everyone and in my whole entire life, I went out of my way to please people so they would like me and know that I’m not as mean as I look. Now that I’m all grown up (well sorta) and have a stronger mind, I rarely hear those negative terms that used to make my life a living hell. (Whew.)

But I’m afraid all those years of trying to be sweet and nice has gotten me in even more trouble. I transformed and became something that was even worse than appearing like a “bitch.” I became a doormat.

It took me a long time to realize why I was always stuck in such awkward situations or why my life literally seems like a constant drama series. I’ve been wondering why all these bad things happen and after asking around, some people would tell me it’s because I interpret them as bad things and I totally agree with that. But you know what else? When you’re too nice…people literally will step all over you. I know it sounds commonsensical and obvious but you would think that when you’re nice, you can inspire people and you can make a difference. You can change perceptions and motivate peace.

Wrong, so awfully wrong. Sure there are a good handful of people that will appreciate you for being nice and treat you the way you treat them. But I was not aware of how many bad people there are in the world. Bad people who not only will hate you for being too nice but who will also try to use your niceness to their advantage. I’ve always watched movies where the nice guys persevere and overcome dumb mean people but in reality, that doesn’t always happen. Sadly, I think it’s just to give the good guys hope.

Then I started wondering how I became so nice in the first place…maybe it’s from years of watching goody-goody shows like “Family Matters,” or “Full House,” where the people are unrealistically nice and everyone seems to overcome issues by “talking it out.” Maybe I pictured the world to be like that when I was younger and expected I would walk into my first day of school with everyone waving and saying hi to me. But the world is definitely not like that. Far from it.

I guess I just noticed all of this working in a prominently female workplace. You learn a lot when you’re caged in together with members of your species. I learned about all types of females. I actually learned a lot about myself in the process. I learned that there aren’t people as “good” and “nice” as you. (I put that in quotes because it’s very subjective.) I also learned that if you want to be as happy as possible, you have to cut out the people and the things in your life that give you even a little bit of grief. Because it’s not healthy to do that to yourself. And you have to do so in a way without feeling sorry for what you did. You can’t feel sorry for the things that are harmful to you.

I have learned what it is to make yourself happy and trust me, it is hard. It’s not an easy thing to do. You can still be nice and optimistic but you have to be smart about it and careful. I’ve learned to read people quite well after a few times of meeting them, but sometimes people can still surprise you. So I will still try to continue believing in those traditional movies and t.v. shows and prove that yes, nice gals can finish first. As long as you make yourself happy, then why do you care about others? It only makes them miserable in the end if you don’t care too much.

Well I’m out for the day…sorry about the long depressing post.

Wait a minute, you know what? I’m NOT sorry! You read it, that’s on you!

A little better than Part 1 or about the same

Some scenes were definitely outrageous

Definitely less dramatic than Part 1

First, I’d like to address why it was less dramatic and more lighthearted. Miranda was L.O.V.E.A.B.L.E.! She was so cute, fun and goofy…I really enjoyed her company and wanted her as a friend. They didn’t really build on her character and I think they wanted to give her a rest since she is normally not likeable.

There were too many unrealistic, outrageous or cheesy parts too remember. It was like…COME ON! I’m not a 10 year old! You need a bit more substance to entertain me! But let me name some off the top of my head. I’ll try my best to not ruin the movie so people who did not see it yet (what’s wrong with you?) can still read my blog.

Unrealistic: Carrie running into Aiden in, of all places, Abu Dhabi.

Outrageous: The girls walking in the desert all fashionable.

Cheesy: 6 words: “I am woman, hear me roar.” (Who knows that song anyway?)

Unrealistic: The passport mishap. Come on now, that was too easy.

Outrageous: The ladies of Abu Dhabi, explaining the Suzanne Somers book.

Unrealistic: The ladies revealing their sexy outfits. Yeah they all really wear that.

Cheesy: The nanny in slow motion.

Outrageous: Samantha’s condoms all over the floor in front of all the men.

Cheesy: When Samantha’s “man” came up to them in a jeep, looking like a hot stallion.

Cheesy: When everyone sang along to the karaoke song.

So much more to remember, but those are the top ones that stuck out to me. Will update if more come to mind.

It was a great movie though. The first one was emotionally draining…I couldn’t handle the buildup to the wedding and then have it end like that. I was filled with so many horrible emotions. This one was just a fun rollercoaster ride. But it did have its ups and downs. I felt like some parts were too cliche or overdone. I liked it though and left with a happier feeling than part 1. Plus, I really liked Miranda!

Well I hope you all have a good night and hopefully get a chance to go see it!

I stopped by Wet Seal yesterday to pick up some cute summer clothes and I nabbed a couple of really cute tops. Then I went online to grab some pics to show you guys and I totally got distracted by all the cute graphic tanks. And plus Wet Seal does this awesome fab thing where they pair the tops with bottoms and accessories! (Very clever idea!)

The first top I got is really plain. Just a black lace tee but here is the graphic top I bought and I’ll show you some of the outfits they concocted.

Isn’t it cute? The back has half lace on it! So it shows my flower tattoos! Love!

And then here are the outfits they came up with!

Cute right? I kinda want to shop some more…I shouldn’t but well it’s summer and I need a whole new wardrobe.

Plus, I’m getting rid of all my old clothes and accessories. Literally all of them! I want an entire new closet…there are so many clothes that I haven’t even worn! I’m thinking about just selling them for a buck each. Wish I could do it online but with the shipping, it’s kinda not worth it. I’ll probably make a page here too and show you all and maybe people can buy in bulk. Okay well ttyl!
