WHEN I STARTED BLOGGING…

I had a personal cam-site in 2002 and some of you might remember these site names:

  • Playgirl Hunnie
  • Nawtie Playmate
  • Scandalous Playgirl
  • So Juicy
  • xoxo Hunni

The list goes on and on. I also had an interactive site for young teens called Teen Gurls Online which consisted of numerous activities and stories for the pre-teen crowd.

After graduating high school, I decided to go on a hiatus because not only is having a blog very time consuming, but it started to become a little mundane too. Especially as social networking sites began to grow and people spent less time reading blogs and more time using AIM or Myspace to connect with people.

WHY I HAVE THIS BLOG…

I recently jumped back on the blogging bandwagon because first of all, social sites started to bore me. I wanted something more challenging with more freedom where I could create my own layouts and have an updated site rather than a few pictures of me and a wall for people to contact me when they could just send me a quick text to my phone.

Writing is and will always be a passion of mine and it’s a hobby that’s a very huge outlet for me. I want to continue with where I left off but instead of having only a personal blog, I want to implement my love for bargain shopping with makeup, clothes, and hair products.

MY INSPIRATIONS BEHIND MY BLOG…

First of all…a little thanks goes to my girl, Jenny! We were brainstorming on names for my new site and she just threw out “Taste of Hunni.” And immediately, I thought, “It’s so…me.”
Hunni has always been my nickname in my previous sites. And to summarize my site, I want readers to get to know me…get a taste of my life and my thoughts. So I immediately fell in love with the name and that was that. Taste of Hunni was born!

What I always strive for in my writing is to relate to people. I want to educate people, spark a few emotions, and best of all, I want people to have a good time reading!

I’ve been published in Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul and I’ve gotten so many amazing emails and fan letters. The letters really inspire me me to pursue my passion for writing because there’s nothing like opening an email and reading “You’ve changed my life,” or “Because of you, I feel a lot more confident.”  I’ve also been apart of T.V. Guide Network, WriteGirl (a fantastic writing club) and I’ve been published in 13 Minutes Magazine.

With this site, I write to encourage participation and I do my best to make this site as interactive as possible with polls, questions, and pictures. Feel free to comment and ask me questions because I always LOVE reading and answering them!
